POLICIES & SUPPORT
Terms of Use
Using the US Fish & Water hub, its network links and its contact tools.
Last updated November 4, 2026
The independent network hub
US Fish & Water connects anglers to dedicated state fishing resources. The hub provides network information, a state directory, links, a roadmap and contact/suggestion tools. It is not a government agency, a licensing authority, a booking platform or an emergency service. Contact: contact@usfishandwater.com.
These terms apply to this hub and versions linking here. Adult submission features require agreement where requested. If you do not agree, do not submit content through them. The Privacy Policy explains data practices; acknowledging it is not blanket consent to optional tracking or marketing.
Live sites, development and roadmap
A state marked live links to its available state guide. A state marked in development is not an available guide, a complete database or a promise of a launch date. Listing order is not launch order. Plans, coverage, features and availability can change.
The hub does not contain every lake or fishery. State guides have different source coverage and tools. A national name describes the network’s direction, not a claim that every state or every water is already covered.
Use state sources for fishing decisions
Network descriptions, photographs, matching results and links are general starting points. They do not determine current regulations, licenses, advisories, access, weather, navigability or whether a fish is safe to harvest or eat. Check the responsible agency and the source/date information on the relevant state guide.
The hub is not a navigation chart, official warning stream, professional guide or personalized legal, medical or safety advice. Do not rely on it as your only source for a trip or an urgent decision. Contact emergency services for immediate danger.
Adult forms and appropriate submissions
Contact messages and state suggestions are for adults 18 or older. Parental or guardian permission does not create an exception. Adults must use their own contact information and must not submit a minor’s personal information. Do not impersonate another person, submit unlawful or malicious material, expose private information, send spam or provide content you lack authority to share.
Do not include passwords, recovery tokens, card details, private addresses, medical information or a child’s personal data. Use the relevant state site for its account, water or rule questions. Hub staff do not need your state-site password to review a message.
Messages, corrections and permission to review
You retain rights you have in your original message. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to receive, store, review, respond to and use it for the contact purpose and to maintain the guide, subject to the Privacy Policy. Non-personal ideas, water facts and source references can inform the network. This is not permission to publish your private contact information as advertising.
A submission does not guarantee publication, a response time, payment, credit, a partnership, a state launch or an email subscription. Do not send confidential business material without first arranging appropriate terms. A successful form response indicates acceptance by local mail transport, not guaranteed final delivery. If a message is important and you receive no response, follow up by email.
The submission permission is limited to the feature, review or contact purpose for which the material was provided and remains subject to the Privacy Policy. It does not authorize publishing private contact details or private account notes, enrolling a sender in marketing, or using private submissions as unrelated promotional material. Submitting material does not transfer ownership of your original work.
Saved states and service availability
Saved states use this browser’s local storage. They are not a cloud account or a cross-device backup. Browser cleanup, private browsing, device changes or errors can remove them. Matching and filtering are convenience tools and do not rank destinations for safety or establish fish availability.
We may maintain, correct, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the hub. Source sites, hosting, email and links can fail or change. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or permanent storage of a browser shortlist.
Links and separate state services
Following a link takes you to another service with its own policies, account controls and available features. Network membership does not make every state site’s accounts, promises or data interchangeable. The hub does not automatically sign you into a state guide, share its notes or subscribe you to another mailing list.
References to public agencies, source material, products or services do not imply government affiliation, endorsement or a commercial recommendation. Check third-party terms before using a separate feature or making a transaction.
Branding, photography and source rights
Original branding and interface elements remain subject to their rights holders’ rights. Third-party photographs, geographic data and source material have their own rights and licenses. Ordinary browsing and sharing links do not give you the right to sell the artwork library, represent the network as your own or imply an endorsement.
The stylized U.S. map-and-river brand mark is a design, not a complete geographic reference or government insignia. Illustrative or location photographs do not establish present conditions or the exact coverage of a guide. Contact contact@usfishandwater.com about a rights concern with the affected URL, identification of the material and information supporting your authority.
Acceptable technical use
Do not defeat access controls or rate limits, attempt to access another person’s messages, harvest personal information, inject malicious code or overload the hub or its providers. Use contact tools for their stated purpose. These restrictions do not prohibit conduct protected by applicable law. Report a suspected security issue privately without exploiting other users’ information.
No current checkout or subscription
The hub does not currently offer an on-site checkout, paid account subscription or booking service. Contacting us does not create a paid service or contract for a sponsorship. A future paid product or promotion must disclose its own price, terms and any applicable cancellation or refund conditions before you commit.
A contact message, request, proposed partnership or suggestion does not create a paid engagement, sponsorship, booking, refund entitlement or obligation to publish. A paid commitment requires a separate agreement expressly accepted by the parties, with its price and applicable terms disclosed before payment. These provisions do not limit rights that applicable law gives you in an actual transaction.
Warranties, responsibility and lawful limits
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the hub is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it is complete, error-free, continuously available, secure or suitable for a particular trip. We do not guarantee an outcome, a catch or the performance of an outside website.
To the extent law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the hub. Where a lawful monetary limitation applies, our aggregate liability for claims concerning this free hub is limited to the greater of US $100 or what you paid us for the affected service in the preceding twelve months.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or injury where exclusion is prohibited. These terms do not waive non-waivable consumer or privacy rights or excuse duties imposed by law.
Concerns, disputes and updates
Contact contact@usfishandwater.com about an error, access barrier, rights concern or other service issue. Giving us an opportunity to respond does not prevent you from contacting a regulator, meeting a legal deadline or exercising a protected right. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive court location. Applicable law determines rights and jurisdiction.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to the extent permitted by law. We may update these terms, with additional notice or a new agreement where required for material changes. The date above identifies this version.
Changes operate prospectively except where applicable law requires otherwise. An updated page does not erase an accrued right or supply consent that was never given. A waiver or separate commitment must be expressly authorized; silence, a suggestion or an ordinary support response does not create one.
